Re: Speeding Tales/Help -UPDATE!

Case Dismissed! Last night's court-date went bizarrely. The police officer

>couldn't recall the incident; so, he started to fabricate a story about >pacing my car, then exiting the highway to re-enter behind me to pace me >more (none of these "facts" were noted [as required] on the citation). >Anyway, I got him to change his story/testimony at least three times; the >judge was very amused.

Congratulations. I'll avoid a long post... but the number of times I have personal knowledge of the cops/DA just making up the evidence, or ignoring obvious defects in the evidence, is incredible. This happens in murder trials, arson trials, etc. It's scary if you know someone with the real story.

There are some honest cops out there - I know some - but I think they are in the minority.

CAUTION: During my "research" of Georgia speeding >laws I learnt

The key fact is that these laws *vary by state*. Advice that is good for one state is often useless in another. (Except Federal Law; Yes, you *can* get a Federal speeding ticket, I know... 'cause I did once. :-(
