Saab 9000 turbo APC and engine

Two questions based on a late 80s Saab 9000 turbo I saw yesterday in a junkyard:

1) Where is the APC computer? I looked under the dash and in the rain tray, but only found its ECU and ABS computer. I was told it could be under driver's seat, but how to take it off as it has no power?

2) Would its engine fit a Saab 900 16v car? Would it be any improvement in doing that?

I'm pretty sure APC was integrated into the ECU. There was a model in 1988 called the CD which had the DI ECU and APC as separate boxes. I think that was the only year/model though. Can someone else confirm?

The head will fit into a C900. There's no benefit, really, unless it's the

2.3 head. Quite a common swap and with the right injectors, good for approaching 300 BHP. The direct ignition setup is also good to graft onto an C900.

Take a look at these walkthroughs:
