We have a 2003 L200 that has a water stain/mark in the seat from my daughter's sippy cup. It was only water, but the water has left a mark. I read that patience and a gentle scrubbing is all it takes. I am about to call it quits and live with it. The interior is gray. Any advice?

Rinse the rest of the seat with water. That way it will be even.

I have one of the bissell 'green machine' carpet cleaner machines. Have used it in my other vehicles with good results. I use the upholstery tool and put about half the usual cleaner added to the water. Any stains like grease... are spot treated first.
What you may have is one spot that is now cleaner than the rest of the seat. Clean down the whole area.
I bought the bissell machine after hassling with renting one from the market. First I had to argue about the deposit payment then had to fix the machine before being able to use it.
