Exterior part removal above rear license plate

Anyone know how to remove the chrome decorative bracket above the rear license plate. Its the part with the Saturn logo on it. I have a 2006 VUE.

I havent seen it removed, but from how it looks, it may be accessible by removing the interior rear panel, then unfastened from inside.
