fuel pump needed 259 v-8 60 lark

Hello: I need a fuel pump fo my 259, v-8 1960 studebaker lark. I can't find any markings on the pump, but it does have a glass bowel. What make is that. Also, i read that some guys have had problems with replacement pumps, mainly leaking. I notice Stude International has a $38 pump, and a $65 pump. Also can a replacement pump be purchased with the glass bowel? Rebuild kits cost the same as the pump. Mine leaks but functions o.k. Any suggestions.

Regards,Sheldon

I would rebuild yours, that would be a Carter M-2573S most likely. Most vendors should have a kit for it. If it's leaking out of the vent that is most likely either the stem seal or diaphragm, either one of which will be replaced if you kit it.

I sell original glass bowl V8 pumps for $75.00 Plus $5.00 shipping. The are completely rebuilt pumps with new diaphragms that are compatible with the modern fuels .Robert Kapteyn
