Martinsburg- first day

Hot, humid, threat of thunderstorms (didn't materialize), something like 135 cars - will probably add some tomorrow. Many great cars, several nice 30s rods, great trucks, Chicken Hawk (big draw), six '64 Daytona convertibles including two equipped exactly the same except mine is a Powershift and the other is a column shift automatic, much more. Attendees from Indiana, Ohio, Ontario as well as all neighboring states. Hotel was very slow making rooms available- some didn't get in until 4:30. Nice barbeque at the Martinsburg War Memorial Park, but very slow service. Many parking lot "discussions" ongoing when we left. Judging starts at 11 tomorrow, awards banquet at 7pm (cash bar at 6:30). Paul Johnson
