Neat Idea... not practical for Studebaker manuals though

Apr 30, 2006 2 Replies

A guy from the Case tractor forum sent me the service manual for the magneto on my tractor. He had scanned the whole thing and was e-mailing it to whoever needed it. Problem was, the only way he knew to send it to you was if he read your post asking about it or questions about Case magnetos. After talking it over, we agreed that this would be a great thing to have on the web, it'd be something dial-up guys (Case tractor guys are cheaper than Studebaker guys) could access without having to tie up the phone line for 3 hours waiting for his e-mail to download.

This would be a neat thing to do for Studebakers, but I wouldn't want to have to scan a 600 page service manual. It'd probably be feasible to do for small things line certain part restoration (ex. supercharger). We'd also have to be careful not to publish something that was copyrighted.
