OT, looking for leaf spring stock

Anybody on the NG know where I might find some 1 1/2" wide leaf spring stock,preferably1/4" thick or less?I want to add a helper leaf to each front spring on my '49 Crosley to get rid ofthe sagin front end. (take it away, Calvin)Most of the spring suppliers I've called stock 1 3/4" as their minimum width.Gord Richmond

Maybe I should get a forge and some plowshares; do a little reverse engineering.

Hey Gord, I called the Reynolds Museum and spoke to "Dan" in the Restoration Shop. He suggested 2 outfits they use - City Spring or McCoy's, both of which are in Edmonton. He said if those shops don't have it, you may be stuck with milling some larger stock down to the size you need.
