I don't want to sound like I have been eating radishes, as in repeating myself, but there is still some confusion as to When REDSVILLE is. Its OCTOBER 27-29. NOT in NOVEMBER
Thanks BG
You can check out the Reedsville information at

Bill,
No harm in repeating yourself. I emailed a message abou this to many Studebaker fokls we don't see on here and few knew about the change. Maybe everyone should do that just in case. Not everyone is on here after all.
Also Bill, I gave Ellen two t shirts in York to print for me. Can you bring them to Reedsville?

Thanks for the reminder; I kept forgetting to fill out a vacation request, I finally did it this AM (caught me in the office when I read this)

I saw some cheap airfare deals into Pittsburgh that make it tempting, I believe it was Travelocity.

58 Packard Hawk 40 President 39 Coupe Exp. 59 DeLuxe 1/2 tn. 56 Packard "400"Sheesh... Pittsburgh airport, Philly airport and Dulles airport are ALL 175 miles from Reedsville..
I'm not going to Mapquest it, but I would imagine that BWI would be the closest major airport, and Harrisburg would be closer yet if you could get a decently priced flight there.

Reedsville/Burnham and Lewistown BOTH have airports........................ Not kidding
If you have anything smaller than a Lear, you got it made.
Most fly into BWI and rent a car. Also check flights to State College Pa.

...and Southwest doesn't fly there.

You could probably rent a chauffeur driven limo to drive you from one of the major airports cheaper than getting a flight into Harrisburg. The easy drive from BWI, Pittsburg or Philly is a breeze compared to the 1600 mi drive from Texas! BH
And I'll betcha that dragging a bunch of Stude stuff to the airport would drive the TSA bonkers...

Last night, New York's LaGurdia airport announced a crackdown, on all airlines. In the hopes of serving more people to more destinations they plan on banning all airlines that use equipment smaller than 737's. No more 15 daily flights to a small market with 15 20 seat planes. If the airlines want to serve a market into and out of the NY metro area using LGA, then they must drop down to two or three flights and use MD-88/B717 etc. Reading between the lines, it is a crackdown on regional carriers, flying a major airline flag. Too many small planes that cannot use the ramps, Too may flights going out empty, and tying up gates that are desinged for larger commercial planes.
Pretty strong union, huh..

Wow! It only took all these years for 'em to wake up!! The last time that I was passing through LGA, I was bumped off of a 4 motah turbo prop that held about 30 or 40 passengers. I was put on the next flight about an hour later and just wondered why they didn't fly larger capacity planes.
Of course, the $300 voucher was ok...

(If they wanna use small planes, let 'em use a small airport!)

BWI (Baltimore) is 160 miles- easy drive. Southwest has many flights there
