thread sizes

if someone can give me thread sizes for the following hardware, if I can sneak out of work early today I may stop by Grainger and pick up some hardware... (they're the only place I can find castle nuts)

Early C-K hood to hood hinge (I think 3/8" UNC?) Tie rod ends (I think 1/2" UNF?) End of tapered axle (have no idea)

thanks,

nate

The axle nuts are 7/8" 14's. Don't know about the others.

Chip

Tie rod end nuts. 1/2-20 castle nuts. I have chrome ones in stock for $1.00 ea.

I used to stop by industrial liquidators, surplus stores, overstock places, whatever you want to call them and load up on whatever seemed might be of possible future use.

I would get SS hardware of top grade by weight (handfull) for what a new, cheap Chinese one would cost at a hardware store.

Same with electrical/electronic components - relays, switches, thermal switches, heating cardridges, etc..

Go to a few industrial auctions and get the names of the bidders and see if they re-sell.

Poorly phrased, but you get the idea.

Nut 7/8" -14 washer 29/32" cotter 1/8' x 1 1/2"

The tie rod end nuts are 1/2x20
