My wifes mom is in a nursing home, and one day wife was cehcking up on mom, and wife said she had to get as I was cooking.. and she didnt want to be late. Her moms room mate popped up- YOU LIKE TO COOK? and she said I was the main cook, and anyway, the lady said she had a stove she was hoping to give away, before it got hauled off to the dump..

it was free.. all you had to do was get it and move it.. they had brought her from her house to the nursing home as she was no longer able to take care of her self and everything in the house was pretty well left..

and NOBODY wanted the stove..

ANyone ever heard of a Chambers? a 4 burner, cook stove, started in the early 1900's and quit sometime in the 60's...

I got a early 60 ish Model D.. restored its worth $3-4 thousand maybe..

weight? close to 500#... something about the triple wall construction, with the big cast iron burners.
