I'm working on a 2.5l engine -- I want to put some federal-mogul teflon skirted pistons in

I'm having a hard time locating them -- anyone have a lead fo them?

That could be because F-M doesn't make a piston for your engine.

Go to the Federal-Mogul website and use their interactive look up function to see if they even make a piston for your engine (you didn't say what model or year). I don't know if there's more than one Subaru 2.5l engine.

CLick on 'Catalogs' then 'Make / Model Look-Up'

I arbitrarily picked:

View: Federal Mogul Full Vehicle: 2004 SUBARU OUTBACK 4-2457 2.5L SOHC Lookup Type: Group - Pistons, Oil Pumps & Block Parts Sorry, there were no parts found for that lookup.

Any decent auto parts store should be able to order them in if they are available.

Thanks. I wonder where Jabsco is getting their pistons from then...

Turns out they're from Subaru themselves....

Purchased today; they are indeed subaru & teflon coated.

Could be... I could be using teh wrong term.. however, wen we called subaru tech (not a fun task, they're not very happy to help) they said it was teflon. So; based on the experience, they could have told us wrong.

Jasper (confirmed) uses all OEM parts in their engine; and they say their piston has teflon coated skirts....

Could be still a mystery -- we'll see when the pistons arrive!
