Hi all, ive just bought my 3rd impreza turbo (2000 on a w plate) it has the air recirculating valve sitting on right side of intercooler which i think is from 99-01 plates. from inside the car when running at idle(radio off)i can hear there is like an air drawing sound from behind dash/engine and was just wondering if this is the normal sound due to air recirculator being where it is. car runs great and air noise isnt loud. all hoses from i/cooler appear to be good. thanks in advance!!

Double check the intake air 'box'. It can be tricky to get clipped in correctly.
Have you listened around under the hood with the engine idling? Could be a leaking vacuum line I suppose.

thanks for advice carl but yeah engine has no sound atall of air drawing or leaking from under the hood not even from above airbox,im thinking its only from inside car you hear it due to airrecirculating valve being open when engine up to temp? thanks again all for any advice!
