99 OB MT diff/trans fluid

Jan 15, 2004 1 Replies

Have a 99 Outback manual transmission which had the fluids for the tranny and diffs changed out about 20k miles ago. Have 91k miles now. Ever since the fluid change the car binds in slow turns...feels like thump in the car...like an old 4wd system engaged on dry pavement. Wondering if they put in wrong fluid. How much fluid does the front diff/trans and rear diff take? And what is the best fluid to put in? Or could I have bigger problems with viscous dampner? Thanks!

Your differentials and transmission fluid requires a standard 75-90 GL 5 gear oil. eddie
