Forester turbo - how reliable?

My 2001 Forester is a bit sluggish (especially at high elevations). But it seems pretty reliable...I bought 100K miles/7 years extended warranty (together with the car in 2000), but never used it so far. My question's about new Forester models with turbo engine: how reliable are they? Turbo was introduced with 2005 model (I think), so there should be some data on its reliability by now. Would it make sense to buy extended warranty plan (with Turbo Forester)?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ After we've heard from the guy whose Suby is falling apart at 80k miles? Most definitely.

The 2004+ sooby's seem to be pretty reliable. The Turbo adds some extra complexity (i.e. more oil lines that can possibly leak...etc) and it's pretty normal for them to wear out and need replacement or rebuild after 80-100k... not just Subaru turbos but turbos in general... when something spins at 20k+ RPM with superheated exhaust gases going through it the oil seals in it will only last so long.

The cool thing about the Forester turbo is that I believe that it has the same engine as the STi :-D, so a few boltons get you right up to

300hp.
