I started a thread for stuff for sale. If we all use it, it should be easy for 'sensitive types' to avoid seeing anything for sale.

Wrong. It's the same stuff he couldn't sell before. When it doesn't sell again this time, he'll spam it here again.
You're claiming you don't know about forsale newsgroups? The spammer is obviously feigning the same ignorance of appropriate newsgroups.
