Hi I am just considering buying new L200 or Subaru Forester. The main purpose for this car is to drive safely and comfortably everyday 100 km (including crossing mountain pass covered by snow and ice from November to April). So I need some advice from people that use these cars in everyday driving.

Because you live in a rugged environment. Hands down, the Subaru is the clear winner. The Saturn might only work if you lived out in the praries. The flatlands that see very little snowfall. Unless if your shy of the snow anyway and avoid the roads like the plauge once there's a smallest amout flurries.
