I just bought a 1998 Outback. There are no dash lights on the heater and a/c controls, the only light that works there is a little green light when you push one of the buttons in (ex. recirculate). Are the buttons supposed to light up to show where they are? It is very hard to find them in the dark.

Search this newsgroup for this topic, it's been discussed several times in the past two/three weeks. Very common problem, I fixed in about 1 hour with about $5 CDN of parts.
