P/steering Problem ?

87 Suburu GL wagon 1.8 L, Hard to handle to turn, No leaks, Some Noise heared while Hard left/or right trun, Power Steering Pump Or Rack Pionen, How to find out which one ? Thanks for help in advance.

Probably the pump. I would just replace it with another used one. Easy to replace and shouldn't cost more than $20. But if nothing changes than replace the rack.
