Recommended independent Subaru mechanics in Raleigh, NC area?

Question

Hi:I'm considering buying a late model or new Subaru, probably a Legacywagon or Legacy Outback wagon. Probably a 4-cylinder engine, non-turbomodel.While I'm considering this, can anyone recommend an independent Subarumechanic or repair shop in the Cary or Raleigh, NC area?I don't know anything about the Subaru mechanics at the local Subarudealers. I assume that their service will be expensive, like service isat most car dealers. If I'm wrongPlease respond here in the newsgroup. They're not in Cary or Raleigh, but WASP Automotive in RTP (near thecorner of Hwy 54 and 55) is a great shop.  They work on all Japanesemakes except Nissans (the owner hates them).  It's a very clean shopand they do really top notch work with very reasonable prices.  You'llwork directly with the mechanic throughout the process and all the onesI've worked with have been very knowledgable and courteous.  They alsohave a nice (and fairly informal) shuttle service.     wrote:

I second the recommendation for Wasp (  ). Ihaven't yet needed to take in my 2005 Forester for service, but will betaking it to them in a few months for the 30,000 mile service. I hadthem work on my previous vehicle (a Toyota). They are very helpful andvery fair and do excellent work.
