My 94 impreza has developed an intense rattle at the base of the shift. I can still shift gears, but there is a couple inches of play in the shift and the rattling makes it sound like something is broken. I think I need a bushing to be replaced at the base of the shift stick. Does that sound like it could be a fix and is that a project that should be done by an expert ?
