It is time to have the timing belt replaced on my Y2K OB. I have heard on the Subies that when you do the timing belt you should also do the water pump, front seal and cam seals. Is this correct? Is there anything else I should consider?

All good practice. Add oil pump seals: front seal and o-rings on back of pump.

This may seem like a lot of over-kill. But think about it this way, if you keep the car for 200,000 miles you are only having to do this 4 times. And you saving the need of having to track down any oil leaks. The peace of mind is worth the expense. BlueSTi "Scary-Fast"
I'd also add belt tensioner, fan belts, plugs and new coolant.
