TSBs

Nov 21, 2004 1 Replies

I've read a handful of posts that refer to Technical Service Bulletins or TSBs. Does any one have any information about these - e.g.

- When are they issued?

- Is the dealer required to address them?

- Are they covered under warranty? What if the warranty has expired?

- How can I get a list of them that apply to my car?

Thanks!

I don't think the dealer is required to address a TSB- but they help him diagnose and fix recurring problems.

I would think that they are covered under warranty- but again, TSB's are issued to help fix known problems- they are NOT recalls.

If out of warranty- it would probably not be covered. But I would argue that it was a known problem, and should be covered. No guarantees here though.

To get a list, go to

Then look for service bulletins on the tool bar. You can also get a list of recalls here on the car.
