Thanks to all those who suggested things to check etc.
The problem has just suddenly disappeared now after 4 weeks and 6 tanks of gas.
It had been suggested that cheap gas has somehow contaminated a sensor etc... perhaps this has now come right? Is this likely?
Also someone suggested a possible problem with the exhaust gas recycling valve...would this cause the loss of power / running too rich symptom?
