Wind noise in '91 Liberty

Oct 24, 2004 1 Replies

Hi there,

Does anyone know a fix to reduce/stop the wind noise coming through the front window seals in a Liberty?

There seems to be a tiny gap just where the window glass meets the mirror surround (I guess it's the downside to frameless windows). The noise is annoying at highway speeds.

Any suggestions appreciated.

There's always 'some' noise around that front fillet but tihis may help. Take off the door trim panel on the worst side first. Looking at the door metal at the bottom of the window you should find two little metal doovies with a bolt through them . Back off the bolt and they slide in and out, tensioning the glass. Sliding towards the outside of the car puts pressure against the bottom of the window and tilts the whole panel inwards, forceing it in against the seal once the door closes. Bit of trial and error to get it right. MAKE SURE you reconnect any window/ door/ mirror connectors you removed before you finish re-installing the panel. Cheers
