1955 Mike Hammer movie

on the TCM channel.(the movie is over now) Very nice 1955 Corvette car he (Ralph Meeker) drives in that old movie. The Jaguar car he was driving got filled with some dead bodies and was pushed off a cliff. Shades of Mulholland Falls! cuhulin

Nutz! I'm watching Harry Potter...

The only car in those movies is an early 60's Ford Anglia. But, it flies!

I went to see the Angela's Ashes movie when it first came out.Albout half way through the movie I fell asleep. When the movie was over, a woman I had never seen before was shaking my shoulder, she was saying,,, Sir, Sir, the movie is over! When that movie came on tv, I sat here and I fell asleep half way through the movie too. cuhulin

"Kiss Me Deadly" is a pretty good movie. The low budget and harsh lighting of this flick fits the crude Mike Hammer world like a cheap suit better than a big budget would. I like the Japanese version Maiku Hama in "The Most Terrible Time In My Life." He drives a Nash Metro convertible in that.

So rent the DVD and start it just before where you fell asleep.

My desktop computer has a recorder and player. When I signed up with DirecTV in 2004, DirecTV sent me a player, and I have another player I bought at a store two years ago, and one of my tv sets has a built in recorder and player. cuhulin

If you need a cure for insomnia, nothing beats the original Russian version of Solaris. Back when we tried to watch it, it came as a 2 VHS tape set (165 min film). I was asleep before the first end of the first 30 minutes of the first tape. The SO made it to the end of the first tape, but never made it past that. The later US version with George Clooney was shorter, but still put me asleep in less than 30 minutes. Lawn Mower Man (1 or 2) is also good for curing insomnia.

If you couldn't stay awake through it, you might want to rethink purchasing it.
