first question I can probably answer with a little googling, but would appreciate an answer on the second...
1) what size is the nut on a typical hitch ball? Largest socket I have is 36mm and it's not big enough.
2) is that something that I could find in any store nearby? Auto parts store or Sears are really my only options.
Reason I ask is, I got a Class 3 trailer hitch for my pickup truck last fall and I still have not mounted it yet because I can't get the ball off the bumper (interferes with receiver.) Looks like my options are a) go to my buddy's place with the right size impact socket and borrow his air gun or b) throw local garage a few bucks to take it off for me
