1979 Pontiac Firebird Cars.

Two ads about them in my home town Sunday newspaper today, (newspaper pages scattered all over doggy, sleeping on her couch, snoreing up a storm) if anybody is interested?

1979 Firebird 350 4 Bolt.Headers, New Transmission.Runs Good.Only Needs Paint.$1500.601 - 421 - 8964

Other ad says, Pontiac Trans AM '77.New paint, white with bluebird on the hood, new interior, runs and drives excellent.$10,500.601 - 624 -

What year model Pontiac was that Smokey drove in that Smokey and the Bandit movie? I used to know what 4 bolt means, I forgot. cuhulin

I like them. But I already have too many. (80 TA project car in a zillion pieces, 01 TA Ram Air, and a 76 Camaro dirt track race car)

The original Bandit was a 77 TA.

4 bolts means 4 bolt mains, a lower perf version would be 2 bolts per main cap. More holding power. I don't think a stock 79 'Bird came with a 350 - either a Chev 305, Pontiac 400 or Olds 403.

And no, you don't have to have a mullet to own one, but it can't hurt. ;)

Ahh well, there are lots of Trans AMs out there, I guess.I think Sally Fields was the best part of those Smokey and the Bandit movies.Jackie Gleason and the rest of those guys and gals weren't too bad either.

I saw an ad in yesterdays newspaper about a 1991 GMC 3500 Passenger Van, runs good, $1200 601 - 939 - 8317

I think I better leave that van alone. No doubt it has throttle body/fuel injection and that's too new fangled for me.I prefer carburetors. cuhulin
