1992 Lincoln

I have 1992 Lincoln Continental. I have noticed in the past couple of weeks a strong gas smell expecially when idleing. Smells like it is coming in the air conditioner vents. Any idea what might be going on?

You have a gasoline leak in the engine compartment. It is leaking a very small amount of gas, but the thing is that a very small amount of gas will produce a very strong smell. The air intake for the vent system is under there too, and it's bringing in the vapors.

The thing about a small leak is that eventually it becomes a big leak, and starts spilling gasoline all over your hot engine. This is bad. Check it out and find the leak.

You have a gas leak under the hood. Fix it, and if you don't know how take it to someone who can as soon as possible.
