Hi a buddy brought me his 1994 Mitsubishi Galant 2.4 because it is misfiring when hot. It has a recent tuneup, timing belt, and cat. Are the egr's suspect in this engine? Thanks!

I would suspect the parts quality of the tune up. What plugs were used? What wires?
I have had very little luck with using aftermarket plugs and wires on "modern" vehicles. Replacement with *EXACT* parts (OEM manufacturer, original spec) is pretty critical with many vehicles.
Steer clear of "gimick" plugs like split fires and almost anything Bosch.
