2007 Honda Accord window switch

Jul 25, 2010 1 Replies

Just took this thing in because of the master switch "falling" down into the door. They replaced a bracket, and all was well.

Now, on one of the rear doors, the window switch fell down inside. It appears the "ears" are intact, and the screws came out. Trying to save another $92 here.

Can't figure out how to get the thing apart. There's a screw for the arm rest, but removing it appears to do nothing. Looked on YouTube/Google, found how to get the master panel off, but the cover won't pop off, don't even know if it's supposed to on the rear window control.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You have a 3-year body warranty. You appear to be right on the cusp of in- or-out of warranty. Honda is fairly generous with "goodwill" out-of- warranty warranties, in the right circumstances.

That you've previously paid $92 suggests either that you aren't covered, or that you never asked.

Before you go tearing into your door without a proper shop manual, I suggest you take this up with your dealer. You just might end up with a free fix.
