what would cause the transmission to bind in second gear when shifting from first? scenario the trans was rebuilt approx. 6K mile ago and was working fine until I got in it to go to the local store and leaving the driveway it caused the gov loc posi to explode after rebuilding the rear end with an open diff for now i realize the cause was the binding in the tranny.
1st gear goes foward, place it in 2nd gear you can get out of the truck and it will not move, i have no knowledge of third or fourth but reverse is ok. Never had a Problem before since the rebuild alsways shifted fine.- posted
