Hey, I've got an old '87 chevy nova, my dad thinks it may have a vacuum leak. He can check the vacuum, but we need to know what the pressure should be. Anybody know?

I don't think you will be able to find a vacuum leak with a gauge. A better method is to start the engine and let it idle, while it is running spray around the areas you would expect to find a vacuum leak using carb cleaner. If the engine smooths out or inreases in speed you found the leak.
It may be easier to mention the problem you are having and someone may be able to tell you what to check.
