98 VW Beetle questions?

Hello

I recently purchased a used 98 vw beetle from a used car dealer. I have only had it for 3 months. It has a range of serious problems. I am considering taking the dealership to small claims court. It appears they do not have the correct service records for the car. They are trying to tell me that in driving the care 3,500kms over 3months

  1. Tire tread went from 6/32 and 7/32 to 3/32 and 4/32 (michelin says this is impossible)
  2. A/C empty, garage cannot find leaks thinks it may be electrical problem)
  3. Front brake rotors below minimum for safety. one back brake rotor shows indication of having started to seize
4.Clutch needs immediate replacement
  1. Transmission problems ( car will not go into first unless completely stopped- grinds other wise- or simply willl not go into gear) Reverse is very loud. Don't know the extent of transmission problems yet still at garage.

I am in Canada and this is the first car I have ever owned. I have read the motor vechile dealers act. I think it is a possibility.

Does anyone know where I can get a professional written opinion on ex: Is is possible to wear out a clutch in that short of time? The car always had problems with first gear and a very stiff clutch. I never realized anything was wrong.

I have not even driven the car over 80kms/hr yet.

The dealer insists his records are correct and the 3 garages and vw dealer I took the car to are wrong.

Any information at all would be greatly appreciated.
