I guess that is in California...I havent heard of any increases here in Texas
I was at Oakland Army Terminal for four days and nights in January 1964, on my way to Vietnam. After my year in Vietnam was done, thost lights in San Francisco (Land of the round eyes and the Big PX) sure did look good to me! Go West young man, Go West! ~ Horace Greely. cuhulin
First time I went through SF I felt like I had been to a circus...not a negative experience, but there are lots of different kinds of people there. Beautiful city
I was walking down a street (I think it was Market Street) in San Francisco and a woman about two or three storys up in a building wolf whistled at me.I got on one of those Cable Cars and I rode around town.A few of us guys went to Nick's Snow White restaurant for lunch in Oakland. The guy who ran the restaurant wouldn't let us pay for our meals.I didn't spend much time in Oakland, I used catch a bus to San Francisco. cuhulin
Here in California they raised license fees and sales tax in order to stimulate more new car sales to help the struggling industry.
Texas ups the rate each year for new cars and the plates cost at least that much every year after. Since the mid-90's every car I've bought in Texas has been been at least $10 more per year than the previous ones, even though some of the newer ones cost as much as $10,000 less than the older ones.
Illinois Lic Plate sticker is supposed to go up to $98 from $78

Last year, I read somewhere U.S.License Plates are made in Canada. Way back in the early days of the Automobile, people made their own License Plates. cuhulin
