Years ago when you bought car parts, they gave you a small manual with a list of cars A to Z with "tune up and fluid" specs.
I used to buy Chiltons and Motors manuals that covered like 6 years worth of cars.
I thought I would try to sell mine on eBay.
I looked on eBay and found those manuals LISTED but NO BIDS on them.
I plan on dumping my manuals since I no longer need them. If I can't sell them for a few dollars, I will donate to Salvation Army or throw in the garbage.
Is all this kind of info available online somewhere I don't know about ?
If not, no wonder people are always posting SIMPLE questions about fluid capacities and tune up questions.
I know CDs are available for many cars. My manuals start in 1969 and go to
1992. I have not seen CDs go back that far when I go to Pep Boys and other auto parts stores.Where would one go for info on cars from 1969 to 1992 if one needed the type of info found in Chiltons and Motors, etc. ? If the car is within the past 10 years, I would just buy the CD or manual if I needed it.
My library has Mitchell's manuals but they are FAR from up to date - like about
10 years old since they are very expensive and many people don't work on their cars in my area.TIA
