Civic Modification

Hello I own a Honda civic 1999" Coupe,1600,160BHP.

I would like to modify/tune the car spending max 1000 pounds.. I don't want it to look really chav ,as the car really looks nice at the moment so I don't think that i would like to add a body kit or anything like this ... I want the car to get faster more Horses...but i don't want it to spend too much petrol . I would probably go a slightly bigger exhaust and an air filter .. But not being quite sure ,i was thinking if you guys can suggest any improvements that i can make and also any places that they specialize in modifying hondas .

Many Thanks Ivan

I suggest 1000 pounds of bricks. Preferably dropped on it from an overpass. Or maybe the civic dropped on the bricks from the overpass.

Sorry, just grumpy today... maybe stop by a home improvement store, pick up a weed eater and use it as an engine upgrade. That's what they all do over here...

Can't get something for nothing. More power at the wheel will cost you

more fuel. There are ECU chips available that are purported to add "some" power. Some are legal and some are not. You could have a supercharger added.

Other than making you think the car is a racer and possibly distrupting

the emissions control l don't think you will see any change.

If you want the look of a street racer take the 1,000 pounds and get the following: The biggest trunk mounted spoiler; The brightest blue colored headlamps available; Driving lights desgined to dazzle oncoming

drivers; Racing stripe kit; Ultra low profile tires.
