I just a cat-back on 98ex civic. The engine seems to be making clicking noises while driving. It sounds a lot like engine cooling noises, but it happens when I start running the car. Would sounds from poorly adjusted valves sound like the engine cooling?

You have an exhaust leak upstream of the muffler. A manifold leak will make this type of noise.
