CO2 Inflator for Car Tires

There have been CO2 inflators for bike tires for ten years now, but I have never seen any mention of them being used for car tires. Is there a good reason why you would not use one of these on a car? It would be nice to have one of these in the tool box rather than carying a hand pump or trying to find a gas station with a working pump.

Car tires are a lot bigger than bike tires. A CO2 inflator for a car tire would be a whole lot larger than one used for bike tires.

And, you can get inexpensive 12V air compressors for car tires. They are easy to carry around and run off the car battery. With bikes, the available electrical supply and cargo space is more limited.

They are around sort of. They call them 'air pigs'. You refill them at a gas station air pump.
