Dash bezel removal 1997 Ford Explorer

Well, GF has an old cellphone bracket mounted w/sheetmetal screw *behind* the dashboard heater/AC/vent control bezel. How is the beze secured and how is it removed? I'm hesitant to yank on it.

Any information ?
