With the prevalence of uni-bodies do body shops still have use for frame machines? Ivan Vegvary
I don't know what body shops used for body-on-frame vehicles, but they have machines to straighten unibodies that use air jacks and chains to pull the unibody straight. Another type of machine consists of a big metal platform that goes under the car, and where I used to live there was a guy who had one in a garage in his back yard, something like this, only his had 4 arms in the corners that could pivot horizontally:
Yep still used. Lot's of work on a unibody can be done on a frame table.
