FRONT CRANKSHAFT SEAL

Dec 21, 2006 2 Replies

Coming home work, the temp skyrocketed. Got home and noticed a stream of coolant leaking from what looked like the water pump. I replaced the water pump and still have the leak from the crank shaft - could this be? Help me please. Thanks

Nope, not likely at all. If you've got coolant coming out the front main seal, it's new engine time as your block is cracked. I suspect you actually have a leak somewhere else that's running down and appearing like it's coming from the front main.

year/make/model/engine might help if there's a known issue with any particular hoses/gaskets leaking that someone might be able to point you towards...

Cmon Nate, You *KNOW* that a '25 Essex will leak like that!
