Any clues on how to repair a malfunctioning speedometer and odometer on a 1996 Ford Explorer. They suddenly stopped working and only function sporadically for a couple miles, then goes dead.
The expert on transmissions tested it by hooking it up to the computer and said it is not transmission related. My general mechanic cannot seem to narrow down the problem.
