If there are any Mazda experts out there- I have a '89 323 1.6l injected automatic. We replaced the auto trans and now no spark. Primary wires to coil are hot, pickup coil giving 4volts as reluctor spins. Cleaned ALL grounds, replaced ECU. Turns over fine and fuel pumps ok. Any other ideas?

Iginition module??
Hi Eric- we replaced the ignition module with a used one, as they go for about $190. The ignition module is throwing 4 volts as it should. We are using the diagnosis that Autozone provides on their site. We called the Mazda dealership and they told us to bring it in. That means about 150 bucks for a tow there and whatever they charge for the diagnosis/fix. This is my niece's first car and she has no more money to put into it after the tranny replacement. I am disabled and unable to help her out financially, so this is out of the question. Thanks for your suggestion, we really are stumped by this. Rob
