natural gas LPG problem with 3.8 V6 Ford engine

Hello,

I installed natural gas (Liquid petrol gas) on my 3.8 Ford Mustang from 95. It is working fine except it occasionally backfires and blows up the mass air flox box. I replaced it several times and still the same. Does anyone know how to fix the problem ? Is the plastic box is too weak ?

Thks/Bert

don't know but there is possibly a leak/leaky valve somewhere, you could duct tape the shit out of the box, choose favorite color, silver looks kinda racy

No plastic box can withstand a gas explosion. You should have a backfire protection on the intake duct. Looks like perforated pipe with rubber sleeve over it. It's sealed when vacuum, and releases the pressure in case of backfire. Sequential LPG installation would be much better - no problems with backfire.

For best results - you shouldn't gas the poor Mustang at all!!!
