Re: Baldwin Oil Filters

Are Baldwin oil filters worth a try ?

They make the Hastings filters which I have used with no apparent problem. At least the anti drainback valve worked, unlike the FRAM I tried. I believe they make a few of the other "off" brands, but tend to speacialize in the industrial area more than automotive.

I've run Hastings on my Studebakers with no apparent problems. They seem at a glance to be about on a par with Wix/NAPA Gold.

Never heard of them. How long have they been in business? Are they only sold in certain regions? How much more expensive are they than the run-of-the-mill Fram, Penziol, etc. filters?

Pricing should be in the Wix range. Hard to compare as they are never sold retail. Rex in Fort Worth
