I just had new rear brake shoes installled on my Sunfire and after a few days I got a loud noise in the back when applying the brakes,like a loud clunk just before the car stops. I checked the shoes, every thing looks great.... any ideas? I used a cheaper brand of shoe, a bonded set, the originals I believe were riveted ones...would that make the diff?
Maybe one of the springs or self-adjusters weren't seated completely and popped into place when you hit the brakes or one popped off. Just a thought.
