It is too bad that this most unique and daring American car had it's legs pulled out from under it. OTOH, it was the first successful American compact and spawned a whole class of Detroit iron - pony cars which begot muscle cars whose legacy lives on today. Heck, why not a Corvair II?
As far as Vegas go, they made too good a copy - somehow those things rusted even faster than the originals. :-)
I think you're right about this. Boy, Chrysler sure did milk that K-car drive train for all it was worth, didn't they?
