I saw that too. I have no idea, but it sure was a neat looking car.
But Iknow it wasn't a Flying Wombat! ;) (Phantom Corsair)
Here you go..
I posted the same link. That wasn't it.
Doh! Misread the message.
It was a right hand drive (steering wheel on the right side of the car) British car, I think. When I clicked on the movie, the movie had already started.I saw Fred MacMurray and Eleanor Parker sitting in the car.The car was being towed by a truck.I think it might have been a Jaguar car. cuhulin
The "Flying WOmbat" was in some movie called "Miss Demeanor" or something like that. (Not really, but it works like that). I can't remember the actor's names, but I sure do remember the car!
is this it?
Nope. Woulda known a Jag.
It was similar, more boxy and perhaps a bit bigger.
That is sort of what I was thinking too.Similar to a Jaguar, but larger and a little different looking. I couldn't find that car listed at Internet Movie Cars Database. cuhulin
Maybe it was a Lagonda car? They had similar grills. cuhulin
Ya know, back then they had custom 'coachbuilders' that would take a rolling chassis and make a body for it, so it may have been a one-off.
Remember the movie "Topper"? What was THAT?!?!
On the web, Lagonda cars boat tail cars
There were quite a few boat tail cars way back then.Lagonda was founded in England by an American, Wilbur Gunn.In 1935 W. O. Bentley joined Lagonda. cuhulin
Ah. Definitely a cool car.
That isn't a jag, its a 1950 cadi
It is a Jaguar XK-120 Roadster. Here's another one:

Well, now I do believe that is the car.Jaguar XK-120 Roadster. A beautiful car indeed. cuhulin
