My driver seat power seat went out yesterday. The horizontal mechanism just won't work!! All other directions work. It's clicking and acting like it wants to move but it just won't. Any suggestions?

Do a close visual inspection for any jams. Small items such as coins, ink pens, food, ect, can be hard to spot. Use a flashlight and be thorough. Do the headlights dim as you slide the switch forward and back? Does it move if you try and "help" it move forward or back? If all else fails, you may have to pull the seat out, (4 bolts and the wiring harness) and replace the motor (more disassembly) to repair it. If the motor is in fact trying to move the seat, it is probably jammed somewhere.
Sure sounds like Toyota is inching closer and closer towards GM quality.
